Vintage passion

Cars, motorcycles, airplanes and boats. But only oldtime motors, at Settimana Motoristica Bresciana, scheduled for September 4-6, 2009.

At that time Brescia will become for three days the capital of motor collecting. Crews from all over Europe will meet on September 4 in front of the Museo Mille Miglia in Brescia with their cars and motorcycles, all built before 1918, and then will join the afteroon parade – in vintage clothing – through the city center.

The cars will celebrate the 110th anniversary of automotive Circuit Verona-Brescia-Verona and 105th anniversary of Settimana Motoristica Bresciana, while the motorcycles will celebrate the 110 years of Criterium-Orzinuovi Brescia.

On Saturday September 5 the celebration will move first to Montichiari airport, where historic aircrafts will call up the 100th anniversary of the first international flight from Brescia Montichiari Airport; then Solferino and San Martino, Parco Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio and Bardolino, where everybody will admire several vintage motorboats. In the evening along the streets nearby Verona, there will be a parade of oltime cars and motorcycles.

The conclusion Sunday, with a stop at the Museo Nicolis in Villafranca di Verona for a visit and award ceremonies, before returning to Brescia.
